I miss hanging chads and Jews that vote for Pat Buchanan because of bad design...
I like when the County Clerk says "You should never leave the voting booth without voting for the person you meant to vote for..."
Sage advice.
Apparently, my Nike + settings aren't calibrated so good. Bay to Breakers is 7.2 miles. My microchip buddy thinks it's 6.3.
I played in a charity poker event this past weekend for the Nevada SPCA. As an animal lover, it was nice to know that the money I donated was going to help dogs and cats, and not lining the pockets of my rivals at the poker table. There were plenty of celebrities from the poker world.
If you're a fan, you'll know the names Negreanu, Ivey, Brunson, Lederer, Hachem, Greenstein, Cloutier, and there were dozens more. Jen Harman and her husband Marco Traniello were the hosts and luckily I got to play at their table for a few levels. My best shot at making some money was to try to win the bounty for knocking Marco out of the tournament.
Sadly, that didn't happen, although I did knock out a pretty famous player at one point. In the end, I finished 23rd out of 270. Oh well, maybe next year. Thanks to John Caldwell and PokerNews for inviting me to take part. It was a blast.
Here's a collection of phone-cam shots from the event, which was held at the lovely Venetian poker room in Las Vegas.
